Magnitude Pipelines & Construction successfully delivered the specialist Siphon System Install package as part of the Lake Macdonald Dam Improvement Project in the Noosa region. This critical upgrade included the installation of HDPE siphon pipelines to support the replacement of Six Mile Creek Dam with a new, modern structure.
Scope Highlights:
• Butt welding and installation of over 1.8km of OD710 HDPE pipe and fittings
• Fabrication and installation of carbon steel pipe spools and intake structures
• Assembly of manifolds, valves, pipe floats, and fish netting systems
• Vacuum testing and quality assurance to AS/NZS 2033:2024 standards
• Supply of experienced workforce, plant, and equipment for safe, high-quality delivery
Despite the complex nature of the project and evolving design requirements, Magnitude ensured seamless coordination with John Holland to meet the schedule, maintain strict quality standards, and support environmental protection around Six Mile Creek.
